She was predeceased by: her parents, Louise Curtis Smith and George Edward Smith; and her sister Amy Elizabeth Smith. She is survived by: her husband Michael Dean "Mike" Grissom, Sr.; her stepchildren, Jana Grissom Schuller (John) of Rolesville and Michael Dean Grissom, Jr. (Beth) of Henderson; her grandchildren, Jessica Grissom, Justin Gray Grissom, Jordan Grace Schuller and Jillian Gray Schuller; and her sisters, Karen S. Tingen (Terry) of Oxford and Deborah S. Puckett (Steve) of Oxford. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Spring Valley United Methodist Church, 529 Spring Valley Road, Henderson, NC 27537 .
