He is survived by : his wife Carol Pulley Slaughter; his stepsons, Richard Gay (Cathy) of Kittrell, Jamie Gay (Tracey) of Kittrell and Jerry Russell of Hillsboro; his daughter Shirley Slaughter Ellison of Selma; his stepdaughter Gloria Yearby of Durham; his siblings, Dorothy Slaughter Blackwell (Harold), Patricia Slaughter Cox (J. W.) of Oxford and Delbert Slaughter of Henderson; his grandchildren, Caleb Ellison, Tristan Ellison, Keith Gay (Taylor), Clarissa Hurley (Dustin), Ashely Gay, Kevin Matthews and Ashley Matthews; and his great grandchild Grayson Gay (Crystal Paynter).
