She was predeceased by: her parents, Emily Gibson Balch and Spurgeon Russell Balch; her husband Thomas Saltz; and her grandchildren, Autumn Stepp and Demetri Saltz.

She is survived by: her sons, Dwight Saltz (Marsha), Don Saltz, Barry Saltz of Hendersonville and Richard Saltz (Sherri) of Hickory; her grandchildren, Terra, Andrew Saltz, Kirsten Gosnell (Cody), Ashley Saltz, Rebekah Saltz, Carson, Colby and Cayden Saltz; her great grandchildren, Ethan, Riley Saltz, Sydney Stepp, Braylen and Abby Gosnell; her sisters, Vivian Bell of Huntsville, AL and Kathy Schwanebeck (John) of Lutz, FL; and her friend Carlene Fisher (Dean). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
