It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris Thompson of Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on July 17, 2020, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Martin Thompson and Lora Mae Skipper-Thompson; her husband William Jennings Sexton; her daughter Ellen Marie Sexton Goode; and her grandson Christopher Goode.

She is survived by: her children, Sandra Sexton and Larry Sexton; her grandchildren, Brittany Johnson (Taylor) of Forest City and Liam Alford of Hendersonville; her sister Gerldene McMinn (Howard McMinn); and her great grandchildren, Kylie, Elijah, Jaxyn and Zander.
