He is survived by : his nephew Justin Cornell; his wife Rebecca Moxley Powell; his children, Dee Dee Cates and Robert Powell (Karla); his grandchildren, Cameron Powell, Tyler Cates, Patrick Powell, Austin Cates and Dylan Cates; his siblings, Debbie Smallen, Dale Spikes, Sheldon Powell and Russell Ross; and his aunt Kathy Gallagher. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
