She is survived by: her children, Benjamin Lee Whitaker, Jr. (Malinda) of Mills River, Mary Elizabeth Whitaker (Beth) of Mills River and David Carroll Whitaker (Tricia) of Mills River; and her siblings, Carolyn Lamb Borman (Chuck) of Hendersonville and Carroll L. Lamb, Jr. (Chip).
