It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Ruth Green Ballard of Hendersonville, North Carolina, who passed away on May 8, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Illa V. Greene and Ovia Penland Greene of Mills River; her siblings, Carl Greene, Anna Mae Bailey, Alma Greene, Troy Greene, Phillip Greene, Mary Lee G. Keith and Blanche "Bobbie" G. Bryson; and her son John Lee Ballard of Montana.

She is survived by: her sister Hazel G. Shepherd of Hendersonville; her children, James A. "Jim" Ballard and Tong Hui "Won" Ballard of Hendersonville; her granddaughter Alicia Ballard Westbrook (Max Mays); and her great grandchildren, Eli, Daniel, Luke Westbrook, Rishi and Priya Mays.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Elizabeth House Renovation.
