He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Martin and Audie Martin; his former wife Nancy Solomon Martin; his brother Jerry Lester Martin; and his stepson Michael Pace.

He is survived by: his wife Barbara Kuykendall Martin; his son Chris Martin (Lynette); his grandchildren, Matthew Martin (Heather Linn-Martin) and Jamie Kennedy (Joshua); his great grandchildren, Lorelei Martin, Thomas Toler and Meredith Kennedy; his stepchildren, Scott Pace (Heidi) and Lisa Laughter (Gary); his stepdaughter-in-law Patricia Pace; and his siblings, Roy Merrill Martin and Ruth "Sis" Tomkin. He is also survived by step-grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
