He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Vernell Boyd (Niecy); his mother Evelyn Boyd; his children, Ashley Boyd, Fredricka Butler, Demetrius Bowser and Roger Jermayne Boyd (Trina); his stepchildren, Shameka Whidbee, Justin Whidbee, Quinton Roach and Travis McWilliams; and his siblings, Monica B. Harrell, Larita B. Cooper (Darrell), James Boyd Jr. and Tony Boyd. He was also cherished by 19 grandchildren; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
