It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Alphonso Henry Dail (Hertford, North Carolina), who passed away on January 11, 2026, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alphonso Henry Dail Sr. and Callie Lilly Dail; and his brother Jack Hardy Dail. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Lane Dail; his son T. A. Dail (Lois); his grandchildren, Lee Dail (Faith), Brandee Phelps (Aaron) and Jason Dail; his great grandchildren, Taylor Phelps, Hayden Dail, Owen Dail and Easton Dail; and his siblings, Mary Ann Dail Carter, Caroline Dail Trueblood, Carlton Dail (Avis) and Gene Dail (Karen). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
