It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Stone of Hertford, North Carolina, born in Norfolk, Virginia, who passed away on January 29, 2023, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, George Stone of Washington and Dorothy Wheeler Stone; his wife Victoria Lee Stone; his stepmother Betty Jean Stone; and his sister-in-law Pam Stone.
He is survived by: his daughters, Betty Jean Herbert of Wasilla, AK, Dorothy Kay "Katie" Ihde of Kenai, AK, Fawn E. Stone of Wasilla and Debra Stone of Floresville, TX; his siblings, Michael Stone of Hertford, Holly Longtin (Mike) of Virginia Beach, VA and Mia Adams (Dan) of Virginia Beach, VA; and his grandchildren, Kathryn, Kyle, Kemper, Zachary, Wyatt, Gwendolyn and Josey. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and extended family.
