She was predeceased by: her parents, Ammon Jay Scott and Jane Sawyer Scott; her brother Joel Scott; her husband Denny Freeman; and her daughter Susan Weeks.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sarah Weeks Hewitt (Lindsay Stevenson) of Elizabeth City, NC and Jaye Weeks-Hughes (Wes) of Williamston, NC; and her granddaughters, Megan Hayes (Brandon), Allison Needham (Preston) and Bailey Hughes. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
