He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Mother Margaret Hollowell Bartlett; his son Wade Stokes (Theresa) of Caldwell; his grandson Steven Wade Stokes (Vanessa) of Wayne; his great grandchildren, Isaiah Stokes, Mckayla Stokes and Mia Stokes; and his siblings-in-law, Johnnie Hollowell of Hertford, N. C., Joseph Hollowell (Mildred) of Hertford, N. C. and Mamie Hurdle (Henry) of Hertford, N. C.. He was also cherished by godchildren, church children, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends.
