It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Evelyn Long Layden of Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on February 9, 2023, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, William Preston Long and Mary Chappell Long; her husband Elliott Layden, Jr.; and her brother Julian Long. She is survived by: her sons, Billy Layden (Norma) and Wayne Layden (Gail); her granddaughter Lindsey Layden Campbell (Ronnie) of Hertford; and her caregivers, Lisa, Dawn, Sheila, Deanna, Hazelene and Joyce.
