She is survived by: her sons, John Wayne "Flash" Colson, Jr. (Erica), Joey Dwayne Colson (Crystal), Derrick Dwayne Colson (Sarah) and Dustin Willie Colson; her siblings, Nancy Wilson and Jesse Key, Jr.; and her grandchildren, Laura Leigh, Hayley, Charley, Dayne, Masyn, Chase, Nicholas, Stella and Tucker.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Twiford Funeral Homes (405 E Church St, Elizabeth City, NC 27909).
