Simpson Jr. (Venus) of Columbia, NC, Kelvin Simpson of Greensboro, NC, Dominic McCleese of Creswell, NC and Deon McClease (Marilynn); her nieces and nephews, Sharonna Rhodes, Jamien Johnson, Chabrenna Rhodes, Ondre Johnson, Britany Hylton, Kamari Clegg, Eboni Johnson and Meghan Anderson; her great-nephews, Donte Giovani Hutchins and Jamir Jordan; her godson Ja'Shon Jones (Pillo JayShan Keels White); her pet Shanisty Keels; her aunts and uncles, Hazel Simpson, Ezzilina Downing, Kinnell Rhodes-Bender, Rosa-Lee Hill (Earnest), Judy Rhodes, Irene Pledger Robert Rhodes (Ronald), Allen Rhodes, William Rhodes, Welton Spencer (Aundrea), Arlene Midgett (Henri) and Claude Beaufort; and her great-aunt Christine Jones. She was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
