He was loved and cherished by many people including: his grandfather Godfrey, Sr.; his wife Katherine Ownley "Maw" Godfrey; his parents, Linwood C. Godfrey and Edna Russell Godfrey; his son David "Pep" Godfrey; his siblings, Gladys Gray, Linwood Jr. and Billy Godfrey; his daughter-in-law Sharon Godfrey; his children, Mickey Godfrey, Kathy Fairfax (Doug), Angie Dawson (Randy) and Chris Godfrey; his siblings, Alma Jane Lewis and Larry Godfrey; and his grandsons, Everett Meads (Cassie), Eric, Corey Midgett, Perry Dawson (Christin) and Christopher "Cain" Godfrey.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in his memory be directed to one's local food bank.
