Richard Alexander Carlson Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on August 24, 2023, at the age of 88, Richard Alexander Carlson (Hertford, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Janet Marie Carlson; his parents, Richard A. Carlson, Sr. and Lillian S. Carlson; his sister Joan Marie Carlson Meadowcroft; his great grandchildren, Dr. Richard A. Carlson, III (Tara Reed Carlson) of Fripp Island and James T. Carlson of Arnold, Maryland.; his grandchildren, Richard A. R. Carlson, IV, Courtney Barry Carlson and Reed Chiasson Carlson (Paige Woodhouse Carlson); and his great grandchildren, Chase and Cameron. He was also cherished by two sons, one daughter-in-law, three grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to The Open Door Food Pantry of Perquimans County, P. O. Box 721, Hertford, NC 27944.
