We announce the death of Robert Hayden Eure Sr. of Hertford, North Carolina, who passed away on September 25, 2026, at the age of 82. Robert will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Delwin Hayden Eure and Leona Umphlett Eure; and his siblings, Albert Eure, Mary Francis Fisher and Shirley Brooks.
He is survived by: his wife Hazel Eure of Hertford, NC.; his sons, Robert Hayden Eure Jr. (Rena), David Eure (Heather) and Pete Eure (Tabitha); his grandchildren, Chris (Lindsey), Josh (Becca), Stephanie (Travis), Seth (Brooke), Liam and Hayden; and his great grandchildren, Tilson, Larson, Samuel and Lucas.
Visitation was held on Thursday, October 1st 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Miller & Van Essendelft Funeral Homes (1125 Harvey Point Rd, Hertford, NC 27944). A celebration of life was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Berea Church of Christ (1664 New Hope Rd, Hertford, NC 27944).
In lieu of flowers, the family humbly requests that donations be made in Bobby's name to Durants Neck Volunteer Fire Department, 1724 New Hope Rd Hertford NC or the Camp Cale Association at, 377 Camp Cale Rd Hertford NC.
