He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Leiser and Jane Marie Rudin. He is survived by: his wife Toni Lynn Leiser; his sisters, Jean Jacobs and Barbara Leiser (Rob Jeffrey); his nieces and nephews, Stephen Weiss (Ariel), Jeremy Jacobs (Tiffany), Cydney Jeffrey and Sierra Jernigan (Neil); his grandchildren, Raven Legette (Billy Thompson), Wesley Ivan Hayman (Danielle), Jessica Lynn Topolewski, Samuel Issack Hayman and Alaynah Duhkie; his great grandchild Novalee Thompson; and his in-laws, David and Gayle Conatser.

During COVID he taught himself to play bass guitar.
