He was predeceased by: his parents, Calvin C. Pearce and Patricia Barrett Pearce; and his brother Charles Calvin Pearce. He is survived by: his children, Joshua Pearce of Portsmouth, VA, Matthew Pearce (Brandy) of Atlantic, VA and Aubrey Pearce (Jacob Swientek) of San Antonio, TX; his grandchildren, Gabriel Pearce of Harrellsville, NC, Declan Pearce of Montross, VA, Matthew Pearce Jr. of Atlantic, VA and Ally Pearce of Harrisonburg, VA; and his siblings, Carol Jones of Washington, NC, Diane P. Jernigan (Bill) of Raleigh, NC and Paul Pearce (Tracy) of Murfreesboro, NC.. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
