She was predeceased by: her parents, William Howard, Sr. and Effie Juanita Carter Gordon; and her husband Jerrel Wilson Owens. She is survived by: her children, Shaye Smith (Andy) of Hertford, Kasey Owens (Chris) of Rio Rancho, NM, Justin Owens (Donna) of Baton Rouge, LA and Jerrel Grant Owens (Crystal) of Fort Worth; her brothers, William Gordon, Jr. (Lois) of Edmonton and Gregory Gordon of Nashville, TN; and her grandchildren, Benjamin, Aidan, Noah, Ewan, Chloe, Robin and Colton. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
