He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Freeland Elliott and Edna Mae Baker Elliott; his wife Joyce Sumner Elliott; his children, William Clyde Elliott, III (Darlene) of Hertford, Paige E. Eure (Burt) of Hertford, Donna E. Byrum (Earlie) of Hertford and Lynn E. Woodell (Jimmy) of Hertford; his sister Patricia E. Cameron of Virginia Beach, VA.; and his grandchildren, Michael Gilmartin, Jason Warren, Neil Eure (LeAnn), Amber Reed (Robbie), Grayson Stevens, Matt Woodell (Amber), Jackson Woodell (Jessicah), Tabatha Baker (Chris), Wes Woodell, Ryan Woodell (Andrea), Earlie Byrum Jr. (Chasity) and Collin Byrum (Jacquelyn).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made either to Bethel Baptist Church, in care of Lisa Chappell, 292 Snug Harbor Road, Hertford, NC 27944 or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
