He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Dockery and Noreen Brendle Dockery; his granddaughter Jennifer D. Edelman; his brother Bobby F. Dockery; and his brothers-in-law, Bobby L. Calhoun and Nathan E. Alberty.
He is survived by: his wife Peggy Royal Dockery; his sons, Bobby E. Dockery of Boonville, NC, Michael L. Hawkins of Hickory, NC and Derek M. Hawkins of Hookerton, NC.; and his sisters, Betty D. Alberty (Steve Curling) of Cornelius, NC, Barbara D. Calhoun of Ronda, NC and Brenda D. Byrd.
