He is survived by: his children, Tim Rhoney (Dana) of Claremont, Tracy Cline (Jimmy) of Newton and Crystal Rhoney of Valdese; his sister Mary Ellen Bridges of Hickory; and his grandchildren, Amanda Rogers, Dawn Warren, Aaron Rhoney and Samantha Rhoney. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
