He was predeceased by: his parents, James Harland Hefner and Jessie Lee Hollar Hefner; his wife Betty Carolyn Hefner; and his son-in-law Paul Hacker. He is survived by: his children, Randy Hefner (Julie) of Hickory and Linda Hacker of Vale; and his sisters, Peggy Hefner, Jackie Benfield and Carolyn Thornburg. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren.
