Billy Randall Shew Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Billy Randall Shew of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on June 27, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Joe Shew of Lenoir and Mary Magdalene Pendergrass Shew; his children, Steven Shew and Ashley Price; and his sister Kathy Kidd.
He is survived by: his wife Deborah Smith Shew; his daughters, Kimberly Clark (Dennis) and Shonda Clark (Matt); his stepson Charles Propst; and his siblings, Larry Shew (Sharon) and Belinda Chatham (Tommy). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Drum Funeral Home (940 29th Ave NE, Hickory, NC 28601). A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Thursday, July 3rd 2025 at the Catawba Memorial Park (3060 US Hwy 70 SE, Hickory, NC 28602).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Carolina Caring, 3975 Robinson Road, Newton, NC 28658.
