He was predeceased by: his father Roy Vinson Sr.; and his siblings, Roy Vinson Jr., Mary Eliza Patterson, Beatrice Wimbush and Shirley Padgett.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis Vinson (Sandra) of Denver, NC and Deneen Vinson Jolly of Shelby, NC; his siblings, Brendle Padgett (Bobby) of Shelby, NC and Irene Tomes of Charlotte, NC; his grandchildren, Cierra Peake (Roy) of Charlotte, NC and Tre Jolly of Shelby, NC; his great grandchildren, Cameron Peake and Cody Peake; and his close friend Yvonne Maddox of Lawndale, NC. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
