We are sad to announce that, on February 1, 2026, at the age of 88, Bobby James Phillips of Hickory, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Tommy Phillips and Pearl Rogers Phillips; his siblings, Betty Phillips Smith, Barbara Phillips and Ray Phillips; and his daughter Dana Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Jan Smart Phillips; his children, Darryl James Phillips (Anita) and Deborah Belk; his brothers, Charles Phillips (Donna) of Hickory, Steve Phillips (Doris) and Johnny Phillips (Glenda); and his sister-in-law Faye Phillips (Ray). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
