Carolyn Marie Nace Spears Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Carolyn Marie Nace Spears of Hickory, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 19, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Russell Nace and Rettie Allen Nace; and her husband Richard Berry Spears. She is survived by: her children, Shannon Spears (Nancy) of Hickory and Tina Hedrick (Ray) of Hickory; her sister Gail Tester of Vilas; her grandchildren, Matthew Hedrick, Ryan Hedrick of Hickory, Allyson Ray (Nathan) of Asheboro and Nicholas Spears of Hickory; her nephew Derrick Tester of Vilas; and her niece Amy Lewis (Brad) of West Jefferson.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Our Savior Lutheran Church in Hickory NC.
