He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Baker and Mary Ellen Baker. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughters, Dawn Baker of Asheville, Cheryl Markland (Dave) of Conover and LaShae Bock (Randy) of Taylorsville; his grandchildren, Ashley Hite (Aubrey), Peyton Barrows (Adam), Bradley Markland and Ryan Bock; his great grandchild Mason Barrows; and his brother Lynn Baker (Joyce) of Newton. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family has requested memorials be made to St. Stephens Lutheran Church, ELCA or to the Alzheimer's Association.
