She was predeceased by: her parents, Anderson Mitchell and Laura May Whitener Mitchell; her husband Turner H. Jones; and her son Turner Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Nancy Cook (Calvin) and Hilda Scott (Tom). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to West Hickory Baptist Church in Catherine's name.
