He is survived by: his family, Buddy and Lord; his wife Joann Bolick Wilhelm; his children, Lynn Shea (Mike) of Mooresville, Julie Brooks (Jeff) of Wake Forest, NC and Rick Wilhelm of Hickory; his stepsister Kathy Cole of Cleveland; and his grandchildren, Dawson Shea of Los Angeles, CA, Aaron Brooks of Wake Forest, NC, Kinlee Shea of Mooresville, NC and Caroline Brooks of Wake Forest, NC..
