He was predeceased by: his parents, John William and Florence Mace Lackey; his daughter Roxanne Lackey McCall; and his daughter-in-law Kim Goins Lackey. He is survived by: his wife Alta Faye Black Lackey; his children, David Lackey of Hickory and Angela Lackey of Hickory; his grandchildren, Wesley Smith, Jonathon McCall, Derik Lackey, Devin Lackey, Jamie Foster, Whitnie Cook Beasley (Chris) and Victoria Roxanne Waddell; and his great grandchildren, Brynley Faye Beasley, Ahlexa McConnell, Destiny Pruitt, Makenzie McCall, Benjamin Beasley and Damon Smith.
