It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Charles Francis Scheide Sr. of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Atlantic, North Carolina, who passed away on January 2, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Ferdinand Scheide and Ruth Russell Scheide; and his wife Joanna Slavin Scheide. He is survived by: his children, Christine Scheide Tonielli (Wade), Chuck Scheide and George Scheide; his siblings, Lee Scheide, Ruth Ann Lane and June Scheide; his siblings-in-law, Jeremy Slavin, Judy Slavin, Joy Slavin and Marge Scanlin; and his grandson Max Scheide.
