He was predeceased by: his father Charles Russell Turner; and his brothers, Gary Turner, Sonny Turner and Carl Turner. He is survived by: his wife Joyce Marshall Turner; his children, Sheri Townsend (Johnny) of Hickory, Jeanine Carpenter of Hickory, Chuck Turner of Lexington, SC and Barry Turner (Cheryl) of Hermosa Beach, CA; and his siblings, Jeannette Jones of Mebane, NC, Kathy Swank of Richmond, VA, Mike Turner (Barbara) of Apollo Beach, FL, Terry Turner (Vicky) of Richmond, VA and Sharon Lail (Alan) of Hickory. He is also survived by ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren.
