She is survived by: her children, David Abernethy (Christine) of Mt. City, TN., Nancy Chapman (Vernon Moyer) of Vale, Paula Lowman (Steve) of Hickory and Karen Foster (Johnny) of Hickory; her daughter-in-law Paulette Abernethy of Hickory; her sisters, Francis West of Newton, Ann Shook of Hickory and Wanda Hefner of HickoryHer; and her grandchildren, Christy Dribben (Dave), Juliet Swain (Seth), Patrick Abernethy, Jennifer Messer (Kevin), Ivy Abernethy, Cooper Abernethy, Justin Dugger (Vanessa), Jennifer Reece (Derek), Kenny Chapman, Angela Keener (Cris), Holly McDaniel (Adam), Corey Lowman (Cherie), Casey Franklin (Derek), Adam Bryant Shinn (Kerrie), Michael Abernethy, Wesley Starnes (Kelly), John Sullivan (Jana), Haylea Sullivan, Bayleigh Starnes (Trevor) and Abby Massey.
