It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Daniel Wilford Bollinger Sr. of Hickory, North Carolina, who passed away on October 11, 2023, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Alvin Bollinger, Sr. and Carley Glenna Raby Bollinger; and his siblings, Bobby Joe Bollinger, Franklin Delano Bollinger, Alvin "Ace" Bollinger, Jr., Benny "Bink" Bollinger, Charles "Butch" Bollinger, Ricky Bollinger, Glenna Duncan, Janet "Jean" Bumgarner, Anna Louise Webb Jenkins and Janie Greene.

He is survived by: his wife Jewel Davis Bollinger; his children, Daniel W. Bollinger, II (Lisa), Terri Bujold (Marc), Jan Brasel (Jeff) and Pamela Setzer (Kent); his grandchildren, Amber Perry (Joey), Josh Ross (Kate), Kevin Money (Allison), Daniel Bollinger, III (Skyrous), Natalie Setzer and Benjamin Bollinger; and his great grandchildren, Katelin Perry, Joseph Perry, Madison Rodatz, Romie Henry, Amaya Rose, Winston Ross, Knox Bollinger and Oliver Ross.
