He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Dennis Causey and Leavelle Rogers Causey; and his sister Jean West. He is survived by: his wife Kathy Keever Causey; his children, Jennifer Richards (Stacey) of Conover, NC and Jonathan Causey (Kesha) of Hickory, NC; his grandchildren, Cassie Richards, Katlyn Causey and Leah Causey; and his brother-in-law Doyle Keever (Diane) of Davidson, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
