It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Clay Johnson (Hickory, North Carolina), who passed away on December 13, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his father John Johnson; and his brothers, Jim Johnson and Joe Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Sherry Childers Johnson; his sons, Rodney Lee Johnson of Granite Falls, Chad Johnson (Leizel) of Connelly Springs and Brian Johnson (Junior) of Connelly Springs; his grandchildren, Heather Slattery, Addison Dunbar, Destiny Johnson, Josh Johnson, Matthew Johnson and Nikola Johnson; his great grandchildren, Ruby Slattery and Bradley Johnson; and his brothers, Glenn Johnson and Eddie Johnson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and friends.
