He is survived by : his mother Shirley Ruth Bowman Shannon; his wife Sherry Church Shannon; his son Justin Shannon (Salem); his grandson Harrison Shannon; his siblings, Douglas Shannon and Marlene Whitener (Bobby); and his nephew Brian Whitener (Sarah). He is also survived by extended family and friends.
