He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Jones Deitz; his children, Karl Deitz (Lori) of Knoxville, TN, Robert Deitz (Jennifer) of Maryville, TN, John Deitz (Charlotte) of North Dinwiddie, VA, Vanessa Garrison (Randy) of Morristown, TN and Elizabeth Malone (Henry) of Jackson, KY.; and his grandchildren, Kian Deitz, Brennan Deitz, Zander Deitz and Brayden Deitz.
