She was predeceased by: her parents, David Andrew Yoder and Margaret Louise Pitts Yoder; her husband David Lee Bishop; and her sisters, Nancy Carroll, Mary Kahill and Gail Cranford.

She is survived by: her sons, Danny Lee Bishop (Karen) of Hickory, Randy Lee Bishop (Shannon) of Hickory and Terry Shane Bishop (Elizabeth) of Harrisburg, NC; and her grandchildren, Majerle B. Bishop of Hickory, Jacob A. Bishop of Harrisburg, Andrew L. Bishop of Hickory, Corbin L. Bishop of Hickory and Nicholas R. Bishop Harrisburg.

In lieu of flowers, memorials, in memory of Desola Bishop, may be made to the Boy Scouts of America, Zion Lutheran Church 1911 Zion Church Road, Hickory NC 28602.
