It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Diana McKenzie Carpenter of Hickory, North Carolina, born in Presque Isle, Maine, who passed away on January 24, 2023, at the age of 54, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Myles McKenzie, Jr. and Ruth Ann Hensel. She is survived by: her husband Chad Carpenter of Hickory; her sons, Gary Hoopingarner, Jr. (Mandi) of Granite Falls, NC and Stephen Carpenter of Hickory, NC; and her siblings, Michele Brassard (McKenzie) of Orlando, FL and John Myles McKenzie IV of Melbourne, Australia..
