He is survived by: his significant other Debra Caywood of Hickory, NC; his children, Tony Baker of Taylorsville, SC and Donna Baker McCarthy of Clearwater, FL; and his granddaughters, Hailey McCarthy of Clearwater, FL and Erin Schadt (James) of Clearwater, FL.
His contributions to the genre were formally recognized with his induction into the Carolina Beach Music Hall of Fame.
