He was predeceased by: his wife Helen Rose Carroll. He is survived by: his sons, Edward Carroll (Kelley) of Hickory, NC and James Carroll of Castleton, VA; his grandchildren, Michelle Hefner (Logan) of Newton, NC, Stephen Carroll (Alyssa) of Winston Salem, NC and Phillip Carroll (Lizzy) of Winston Salem; and his great grandchildren, Jackson Hefner, Josie and Nora Carroll.
