She was predeceased by: her parents, Lester Boston and Maude Muller Beakley Boston; and her sisters, Maxine Rice, Mavis Hedrick and Faye Boston.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Adkins; her son Ed Adkins (Nicole); her granddaughters, Brooke Adkins and Callie Adkins; her brother Edward Boston (Frankie); and her brother-in-law Richard Hedrick. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
