He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Clyde and Willie Hambrick Taylor. He is survived by: his wife Martha "Marty" Hughes Taylor; and his sister Janice Taylor Hollar of Hickory.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 21st 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Open Door Baptist Church (3310 Main Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601).
