He was predeceased by: his parents, Alton Cletus Miller and Romaine Minnie Coover; and his siblings, Alton Miller, Jr. and Alma Bistline. He is survived by: his spouse Jean Doris Miller; his daughter Rachele Caputo (Daniel); his adoptive son Eric Spangler; his granddaughter Sophia Caputo; his siblings, Arlene, Richard, Doris, Margaret, David, Kenneth, Donald, Barry and Evelyn; and his family Elvis Presley.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to East Lincoln Christian Ministry in Denver, NC where Earl and Jean enjoyed volunteering for many years.
