He was predeceased by: his father Einar Bernhardt Oyaas; and his wife Mary Pattillo "Maripat" Oyaas. He is survived by: his sister Nancy O Swanson of Paradise Valley, Arizona; his nephews, Stuart Swanson and Bart K. Swanson; and his niece Carrie S. Fleming of London, UK. He is also survived by nine great nieces and great nephews.
